Design Inspiration!

Today I started out thinking that I would get some Christmas shopping done, then I realized that the shopping I have already done really doesn't have a home at the moment.  So.... I started cleaning and organizing and now it's about nine in the evening!   My day has really gotten away from me without getting a whole lotta projects finished!

I did managed to find some drapery hardware I liked for my DIY bedroom drapes!  I am excited about that, I had to also rearrange the drill holes for the curtain rod, as I wanted these new drapes to be hung a bit higher for a more dramatic effect.  I still have to hem the panels, but this way I can see exactly how much I need to take them up.  I will have to wait till the morning to snap some pictures, as we do  not have any bright lights in the bedroom!

Mood Board

I've been looking for inspiration in redecorating a few rooms, and thought I would put together a little mood board of stuff I might build a room around....

.....that is, IF I won the lottery!

The chandelier alone is around $3,000!

Kate Spade Inspiration

Whoever comes up with Kate Spades adds is truly talented they are all amazing!  

The colors are so bright, poppy, and fun!

 I'm thinking about framing a few of them for the great bedroom redo!

Any one else out there find inspiration from unusual places?

A Little Adler Inspiration

Lately I've really been embracing color, but it can be tricky adding punchy colors to a room without overwhelming guests or making the room seem like a teen room, so I have been looking to Jonathan Adler for a little inspiration! 

Here are few of his rooms I've been using as inspiration for redoing things in my bedroom!

This first image is of a room that won the happy chic contest.

I'm really liking this poppy yellow and green!  I've found a gorgeous yellow and white fabric I'm thinking about for some drapes!
