There is just something about grey that makes my heart skip a beat!
So when I saw these grey and yellow chairs the other day at TJMaxx, I may or may not have started doing the happy dance in the isle! Embarrassing I know! THEN I saw the price tag! Only $129! yowzers!! If only I had a place for such a chair in my apartment! At least one of these beauties would have come home with me!
sigh....maybe you can find this lovely Ikat grey and yellow chair at your TJMaxx and it can go home with you!
Have you all been as excited about the Royal Wedding as I have?!?!
Did I pique your interest with the post title, I mean wouldn't it be FAB to actually be invited to attend that affair!
Or even just to be in England around the actual event!
Sigh, I mean I love living in the US, but there is just something so grand and alluring about having a Royal family....
Well in case you were wondering I sadly did not get an invitation to the Royal Wedding. What about the post title you ask? Well I have been working some artwork for a custom invitation that is Royal Wedding themed! Want to see?!?!
Ohh, in case you wondering what all the wonky smudges are, I blurred out all personal information on the invitation.
It is a Royal Wedding and Shoe themed party!
Sounds fun right!
How are you all planning to celebrate the upcoming Royal festivities?
Sounds crazy right?!? Well I didn't go on a crazy baby blanket buying spree....can you say that ten times fast?!?! I did however make another baby blanket for my nephew, this one is big enough for a crib and eventually a toddler bed!
I made it pretty much just like the last one I made only bigger. Need a refresher on what the first one looked like? You can take a peek at that one here!
Now I just need to finish a crib skirt, bumpers, window coverings, and a few
other baby room accessories!
I'm going to get a little personal....... so if you don't want to read about that, turn back now!
It's really not too bad..... But I did warn you!!
It's very difficult for me ( as I'm sure it is for a lot of creative people) to not be hard on myself when I don't get done the things on my ever-growing-projects list....usually I want them done yesterday! Do you know what I mean?
There is a quote from a movie that I've been repeating to myself lately.....( yes a movie quote...cheesy, but hey, so true)
"Never lie, steal, cheat, or drink. But if you must lie, lie in the arms of the one you love. If you must steal, steal away from bad company. If you must cheat, cheat death. And if you must drink, drink in the moments that take your breath away."
Really it's the last part of the quote, the part about moments, that I've had to repeat lately.
Josh has been working so much overtime lately that when he is here and we have time together, nothing sounds more perfect but to lie in his arms. I did warn you, I was going to get personal and sappy, it won't happen often, I promise!
I also have a new little guy in my life that I couldn't be more proud of, sorry I'm just a proud Aunt! It has been so much fun to sit back and enjoy all the moments this new little fella brings!
Big brother, little Brother!
So I guess what I'm saying is, or the lesson I'm learning is.....life is short and projects will wait for another day....
