Over the last several weeks, I have come to the realization that I love something I use to despise!
It happened without me even realizing what was even going on.
You know the feeling of seeing something and NOT hating that certain thing you always had.
Well, I was slowly being taken over by that feeling.
And before I knew it, I was completely hooked I mean I HAVE to have some of it in my new living room!
Can you image what I'm talking about??
In case your stumped, it's brass!
Yup! I'm completely head over heals in LOVE with brass decor!
Here are a few of my favorites!

I am totally with you on this!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's not the '80's shiny brass, but a more subdued, matte finish on all the images you love. I picked up a set of brass vases at a vintage store for there shape alone with the intention of painting them, but this duller finish brass is growing on me too.
ReplyDeleteMaybe start out small with some brass trinkets or maybe a small glass table like the 10th picture just to introduce it into the room. I'm not that big of a fan of brass but these pictures are convincing me otherwise. Maybe because it's not the 80's looking brass like the wood, brass and glass tables my grandparents had in the den forever.
ReplyDeletei've never really liked brass too much either (maybe because my grandparents had a giant brass eagle over their mantle..) but i really like the pieces you posted here!

I agree. Brass has grown on me. I just made some faux brass starbursts.
